Obtaining visas
Foreign passports should be valid at least six months beyond the intended stay in Sri Lanka. A visa on arrival may be available for a 30-day period for many nationalities—rules change; verify the latest requirements before you travel.
Citizens of some countries must obtain a visa prior to arrival. Contact the nearest Sri Lankan mission for authoritative guidance.
Transit facilities
Fully air-conditioned day rooms with attached toilets are available for transit passengers who wish to rest. Shower rooms are available in the transit lounge. Facilities are provided by Airport & Aviation Services Ltd.
